Surrey Real Estate
Since its incorporation in 1879, Surrey has been growing steadily. Once a bedroom community for Vancouver commuters, Surrey real estate exploded in the post-war 50s with a burst of single family housing. Today, with an estimated 1800 people moving to the area every month, Surrey is one of Canada's fastest growing cities and the second largest city in the province. The area is noted for its multicultural neighbourhoods, including a highly concentrated, active, South-Asian community.
Surrey Homes
The building explosion in Surrey reflects the population explosion: in addition to the area's post-war single family homes, there is an endless variety of condo developments and master planned communities to choose from. These Surrey homes have many attractive features including granite counters, over sized windows, energy efficient appliances and gas fireplaces.
Brick or stucco? Urban or rural? Whether you are looking for European craftsmanship, contemporary design, golf course views or rolling hills with mature trees, real estate in Surrey offers something for every taste and budget.

Surrey BC Information and Profile
Named by an Englishman for its resemblance to his home County of Surrey, the "City of Parks" still retains its natural beauty. Home to over 6000 acres of parkland, 600 parks and 210 km of bicycle friendly routes, a further 35 per cent of land here is designated agricultural and is being actively farmed, with 500+ farms producing a medley of fresh fruits and vegetables. Surrey homes have access to farm-grown lettuce, onions, carrots, celery, blueberries and potatoes.
With the Bell Performing Arts Centre, Surrey Art Gallery, Kwantlen University College, the Surrey Campus of Simon Fraser, and Surrey College, Surrey has all the amenities of a metropolitan area. It's also centrally located: Downtown Vancouver is just 35 minutes away on the Skytrain.
